The Rackets, July 22, 2007
Still playing with the Wilson Prostaff 5.5 Aire Shells that I bought over 15 years ago.  I wasn't happy with them when I bought them as a replacement to the original Prostaff 5.5s, but I really didn't have a chance to demo many rackets at the time...tried the different Prostaff and Hammer models from this period as well as some Prince and Head models.

Now looking to update, have tried Wilson K4 112, K Factor 6.1 95 and the N5 Force...will probably end up going with the N5 Force rackets.  The rackets that suit my sense of feel and control tend not to be the more popular ones.  More on this later...


The Strings, July 22, 2007
Previously was playing with Toa Leoina 66 15L...this was the best, cheapest, longest lasting string that you could get in its time, and I'll bet that it still is.  I've probably sampled over 40 different sets of string from Gamma, Babolat, Prince, Wilson, Technifibre, etc.

Now that I'm getting back into tennis, I've discovered a lot of hype surrounding the Luxilon Big Banger strings.  I'll probably be giving these a try (along with other polyesters) to see how they work out :)
